OMEGA
The OMEGA IV is the latest model in CWA's OMEGA series of gondola cabins, which has enjoyed global success since 1984. The OMEGA IV is available in versions for between 4 and 16 seated or standing passengers and is a flexible design in terms of basic dimensions (height, width, length).
The new OMEGA IV is ideal for winter sport, summer tourism and urban applications as well as theme parks and public transport in all climate zones. Depending on the version, winter sport equipment can be transported either on board or in outside racks.
General details The OMEGA IV is available in standard and Level Walk In versions and offers passengers ample space plus panoramic views. The nonslip TopGrip aluminium floor with integrated forced ventilation and water drainage points is easy to clean. The ergonomic benches with their vandal-proof cover of carpeting are a hinged design that can be raised and locked in place to transport mountain bikes, wheelchairs and goods. The functionally designed racks can hold 8 pairs of skis and 4 snowboards of the latest type.
Engineering CWA has further developed its aluminium space frame technology with the result that the rivets are no longer visible. The OMEGA IV is fully CE-compliant and suitable for use with all ropeway manufacturers' systems. The tinted polycarbonate windows are fitted from the inside and held in place with rubber wedge gaskets. The gondola cabin has outstanding aerodynamics for excellent performance in windy conditions.
Automatic doors CWA's automatic gondola door unit has been in successful use since 1972 and has been continuously modifi ed in line with technical developments. It is in compliance with all the relevant standards and ropeway industry codes. The unit is easily accessible in the gondola roof. The automatic doors are remote-cable operated, with the actuating lever mounted on the hanger.
